FREEDOM OF CHOICEThe Elder Scrolls Online is a very welcoming and versatile game. Pretty much all types of builds and playstyles are viable. If you don't like a weapon, swap it out for another. If you want to run a non-meta race, you can do that. The builds I have listed here are mostly min-maxed. Choosing to make a few alterations to match your preferences is encouraged. Don't feel limited by the status quo. Play the way you want to play. |
 DRAGONKNIGHTABOUT THIS CLASSDragonknights are currently in a great spot in the Elder Scrolls Online. Their damage output is excellent and they have an amazing toolkit for tanking. The only aspect dragonknights fall behind on slightly, is healing. Another field they excel in is soloing. They have an array of utility skills and a very sturdy nature, making them a powerful choice for soloing those challenging arenas. SOLO PVE BUILDS

 SORCERERABOUT THIS CLASSSorcerers are great at pushing out damage and they're fairly easy to play. Unfortunately, they fall short when it comes to healing and tanking. They can perform these roles decently, but nowhere near as good as some of the other classes. When it comes to solo play, sorcerers are an excellent choice. With their amazing self-healing you have high survivability, whilst pushing out that big damage, that makes them great for DPS. SOLO PVE BUILDS

 NIGHTBLADEABOUT THIS CLASSI have a love-hate relationship with Nightblades. I've mained a nightblade ever since getting back into the game, but I notice their shortcomings time and time again. They're probably the worst class to play as a healer. Tanking can be decent, provided you have a good healer. DPS is pretty good. The only area they really shine is solo. They have some pretty good self-healing, whilst still pushing out nice damage. SOLO PVE BUILDS

 TEMPLARABOUT THIS CLASSTemplars are a pretty solid class overall. They perform very well in most roles. Tanking is the only thing they kind of fall short on. Though this is true, templar tanks are one of the easiest to play, in my experience. Templars are basically ESO on easy difficulty. They shine the most as healers or soloing. They have one of the best healing toolkits in the entire game. This part of why the magicka solo build is practically unkillable, especially with the Ring of the Pale Order. SOLO PVE BUILDS

 WARDENABOUT THIS CLASSWardens are quite well-rounded, only falling off very slightly for soloing. Everything else, they do sublimely well. I also find that they are quite easy and fun to play. My healer main is a warden, because of how easy and powerful it is. I can push out some damage, along with the massive heals, buffs and debuffs. SOLO PVE BUILDS

 NECROMANCERABOUT THIS CLASSNecromancers perform amazingly as healer and tank. However, in my experience they fall off very slightly for DPS. They are much harder to play than most other classes. If you're willing to put in the time, they can be great though. They also perform rather well solo. You can bring in massive self-heals, whilst still pushing out some pretty good damage and having decent defense. SOLO PVE BUILDS
